Error Handling Behavior: AppFabric makes error/exception handling much easier for developers by providing the error-handling functionality through the configurable options in the IIS AppFabric UI. This service puts all troublemaking workflow instances into a suspended state every time an exception is thrown by the executed code of your activity. This makes it easy for developers to troubleshoot their faulted instances and to be able to retry execution of any suspended instance from its last persisted state in the AppFabric Persistence database. Lock Retry Behavior: This service is useful in multi-server, scale-out, farm AppFabric deployment scenarios. In such scenarios, messages that participate in a long-running transaction might be sent to a different AppFabric server each time (see Figure 4-9). The load balancer does not know the current state of the workflow instance these messages were supposed to be sent to, so this can result in misrouting behavior by the load balancer.
